Street Plays on SDG Goals

Hindi Diwas Activity was conducted on 13th September 2022 to honor Hindi language and to motivate our younger learners to adopt the Hindi language more and more.

It was a moment of pride that on Hindi Diwas, students of Grade 2 presented Nukkad Natak or Street Theatre in Primary wing, for the first time in DPS, Sharjah. The act served to spread awareness about various Sustainable Development Goals which are designed to bring people together to improve life around the world. Students presented the play in Hindi, and it was unique as it grabbed the attention of the students with its humor, song, dialogues, and quick movements. All students of Grade 2 participated in this activity with great confidence and enthusiasm. The play was both entertaining as well as educative wherein the audience were enthralled and spellbound with the fluent Hindi spoken by the native and non-native Hindi speaking students.

Language and culture of any country plays an important role in making people-to connect with the people & helps in making a strong feeling of unity. The occasion of Hindi Diwas reminded us of how beautiful the language of Hindi is, and we must always respect it.
