Clean Up UAE 2021

The students of Eco Club of SUNRISE ENGLISH PRIVATE SCHOOL participated enthusiastically in the Clean Up UAE 2021 at Al Shahama in Abu Dhabi, organised by Emirates Environment GROUP(EEG) on December 12, 2021.

Emirates Environmental Group (EEG) has conducted the 20th cycle of ‘Clean Up UAE’ under the distinguished Patronage of Ministry of Climate Change and Environment. The ‘Clean Up UAE’ campaign is being conducted under the Patronage of the Ministry of Climate Change and Environment.

Students of ECOS (Eco club of Sunrise English Private School) has got the opportunity to be part of it. Participation of Saanvi, Leya, Jasmine, Irine, Cyril, Jasim and Rocky from Grade 8, Adithya ,Mohammed, Razeen, Kevin, Alein George (Students of grade 6) and Aalvina from Grade. 2 ) made the day extremely memorable. Sunrise English Private School aims to instill the values of environmental protection among the students, not only as a part of schools’ extra-curricular activity but rather as a duty and responsibility as a global citizen.. Eco warriors have collected a large number of various types of waste materials including, plastic bags, masks, bottle caps, plastic bottles and handed over trash bags to the site.

The Clean Up UAE 2021campaign which effectively contributes to the achievements of several UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) including Goal11: Sustainable Cities and Communities; Goal 12: Responsible Consumption and Production; 13: Climate Action; Goal 15: Life on Land and Goal 17: Partnerships for Goals”..

Eco club of Sunrise always organize all activities based on 17 Sustainable Development goals to sensitize our eco warriors on various environmental issues. This kind of community outreach programme enhances our students’ social responsibility and commitment. Such hands-on practices equip them to become better problem solvers and decision makers in future. Mother Earth will be safe in their hands as a cleaner, better and more sustainable place to live in.”
