Celebrate Dr Jane’s Birthday!

It’s nearly Dr Jane Goodall’s Birthday, and Roots & Shoots around the world will be joining together to help her celebrate. She’ll be turning 82 years old, and it’s the perfect opportunity to reflect on so many years spent helping people, animals and the environment. There are lots of ways you can get involved!

Live chat with Jane – April 5th

How would you like to join a conversation with Dr Jane Goodall? On the 5th April, you’ll be able to do just that! She’ll be doing a free global live chat on her Facebook account on Tuesday April 5th at 11am CT.

She’ll be joining us live from Austin in the USA, and the live video feed will be hosted on her page and also the Roots & Shoots USA page.

You can get involved by not only watching, but also submitting questions you’d like Jane to answer during the chat: all you have to do is visit www.facebook.com/events/494554177408081/ and add them to the list. Simple!

You can also follow the action through social media, using the following hashtags: #JaneGoodall #rootsandshoots #Janeswish #wheresJane and the main hashtag for the event is #chatwithJane. Don’t forget to add these to your Facebook posts and Tweets.

Sign her Birthday card

Add your name to hundreds of other names from around the world wishing Dr Jane Goodall a Happy Birthday. All you need to do is visit my.janegoodall.org/birthdaywishes and pop in your name, email address and anything you’d particularly like to wish her.

You can also send a printed version of this Birthday card to her if you want, and that feature is also listed on the Birthday card webpage. You’ll need to post them before the middle of April, to make sure Dr Jane gets them before she leaves the USA on April 30th.

Grant her Birthday Wish

Dr Jane’s Birthday Wish is to continue celebrating the 25th anniversary of Roots & Shoots and get more people involved in our global youth movement. We want you to get more people involved in Roots & Shoots, so spread the word!
