At Dunecrest American School, the school garden has literally grown from seed to garden and now we’ve been able to reap the rewards with our first harvest of green beans and herbs!! The beans were used in culinary arts dishes and the herbs transferred into plant pots by grade 3 students under the watchful eye and instruction of grade 9 and 10 culinary arts class. The plants were then up for sale at the schools Winter bazar and they went fast!!
It doesn’t end there, we will soon be getting a new batch of herbs going in the plant towers and the continue the process of seed, to plant to garden – Raising Student Achievement Every Day, Every Way.
